Aiko Chihira Humanoid Robot by Toshiba New

Toshiba corporation, a multinational Japanese engineering and electronic company which is one of the world most technology producers in  collaboration with Osaka University an institution which  has been developing humanoid robots for a while created the newest Technology to the World “Aiko Chihira” a humanoid robot that can communicate using sign language.

The technology was unveiled last week at the (CEATEC) Cutting-Edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition



The Robot is said to have movement fluidity in its arms and hand. It also has 43 actuators in its joints, in order to speak in Japanese sign language. It can mimic simple movements and greetings.
By the year 2020 The Company has very big plans to develop this Aiko Chihira robot into a full communicating robot. This will include speech synthesis, speech recognition, robotic control, and other gestures/sensor
