The Android OS has taken the Nigerian Mobile phone industry by storm, phone engineers who are used to flashing, Upgrading OS and changing parts of Nokia, iPhone, and Blackberry devices now have to learn new skills - HTC, Android phones.

An HTC touch Pro2 showed 2 errors when booting up "host.exe error and smshandler.exe error" this made the booting process longer than it should be and internet connection errors.

Google has all the answers but when asked about host.exe errors for htc, the answers provided were not what i wanted. So whats the solution? >> RESET!

There are two Reset options available for the HTC Touch Pro2

HTC Touch SOFT RESET
This won't clear your data or make changes to settings, it's simple reboots the phone.
1. While phone is On, Remove the back cover to find a Small RED reset button just near the Memory card slot.
2. Hold the red button for a few seconds, Phone will turn off and On. - Soft Reset complete.

HTC Touch HARD RESET
NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE ALL STORED DATA, APPLICATIONS AND PERSONAL SETTINGS - DEFAULT FACTORY SETTINGS WILL BE RESTORED.
1. Turn off the Phone
2. Press and hold these three buttons at the same time - CALL button, END button, and the POWER button
3. Confirm that you want to erase all data by pressing the UP VOLUME key,

The hard reset worked and cleared all host.exe errors, hope it works for you too.
