Nigerian Actress  - Joke Silva who recently visited Highbury College explains:

"I run a charity with a group at my church where we rehabilitate sexually abused and trafficked young girls. We are building a campus for them because, yes, we can rehabilitate them, but they have to be able to fend for themselves at the end of the day. One of the reasons they go into commercial s x work is to survive, so they need to have the skills they need to move on to a different career. Coming here and seeing what is possible gladdens one's heart."

"The other reason I'm here is that in our film industry we have a lot of energy and enthusiasm, but little skill. My husband and I have started an institution that we want to dedicate to theatre, film, media and the arts. Coming to Highbury has been like concretising the dream and seeing it in reality."
While visiting the college Joke had a chance to talk with staff and students at the College about what they felt made Highbury a great place to learn. She commented: "Innovative, vocational institutions, I believe, are the way forward because there will always be a need for skills. All the facilities are there for young people to be the best that they can be.
"I believe the students who have come through here have been very lucky. The teachers I have met are very enthusiastic and proud about what they are doing; I think that’s an explosive mix."
