The ongoing examination in College of Education, Ekiadolor in Edo State may have been suspended following an alleged attack by two rival cult groups, Aye and Eiye fraternity leaving at least two persons dead and five other injured in the early hours of Thursday, Vanguard learnt  authoritatively.

It was further gathered that one of the victims whose full identity is yet to be established by the Police was reported to have been lured out a moving car in Unity Street in the same community and shot dead by unknown gunmen who trailed him while trying to find an escaped rout to Benin.

According to the source, the second victim was allegedly shot dead at Ekosodin community, near University of Benin few hours later and was left in the pool of his own blood.

At press time, the immediate cause of the killing was sketchy. But sources say, it may not be unconnected with a protracted feud between the cult groups, which led to murder of one Master Chidi, a member of Aye and a Student of one of the tertiary institution in the State. His father was a former Coach of a local league one month ago.

The school authority has refused to ascertain whether the victims were students of the institution or not. But the sad news has forced Parents to beginning to evict their Children to leave the School, even though, the Police Divisional Police Officer, DPO, and the school authorities have vowed to stem the tide.

A member of Man O’ War, a two hundred level economics Student of the institution who spoke with reporter in a telephone interview said, the students are now living in fear, noting that most Students living in off-campus have now been forced to luck themselves in the school compound over fear of being attacked.

In telephone interview the Police Public Relations Officer, Edo State Police Command, ASP Peter Ogboi said that he is yet to be briefed on the matter.
