D'banj - First Nigerian Celebrity to Get a Verified Twitter Account?

When you hear the name  - Dban'j AKA Mr Endowed - in the news these days, it usually has to do with the recent Mohits records breakup Saga and rumors surrounding it - But this time the reports are not related to the split with Donjazzy. Rather it is related twitter

Twitter user know its a Big-Deal to have a verified twitter account. - It is specially reserved for celebrities who have reached a certain amount of followers - This proves that they are real and any other accounts with there name are just impersonating the real celeb. Verified accounts are identified by a Blue Check mark on the account page.

And Today - Nigeria's very own - Dbanj got his account verified by twitter. He has accumulated a total of 202,461 Followers as the time of this post.

There are speculations that He(Dbanj) now is the FIRST NIGERIAN Celebrity to Be verified by Twitter. We're yet to validate this.

What made this news is the amount of negative comments, tweets that this verification of Dbanj's account is causing. It's not a surprise that people took sides after the Mohits break up, they're not hiding how much they dislike Dbanj now..

This is annoying to most twitter users because D'banj doesn't even use twitter that much, when compared to DOnjazzy who regularly keeps in contact with his fans via twitter.

i know dis is stale gist..but i jst had to jump on it.D'banj's account is now verified..whoop whoop for him..but i jst want to correct something..D'banj is infact not the first Nigerian artist to get verified..Asa and Nneka's accounts have been verified like ages ago! U dnt see them 'blabbin' about it now do you? Smh..just saying shaaa
