University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) POST UTME 2012 / 2013 Screening Exercise.

A Statement released by the Registrar, University of Port harcourt MATILDA NNODIM (MRS.) indicates that the POST UTME 2012 / 2013 Screening exercise for candidates who selected Uniport as their 1st / 2nd Choice in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence registration on 1st June 2012.

The UNIPORT Cut of marks are:
200 and above for Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering (except Civil & Environmental Engineering), management Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Social Sciences;
180 and above for others are invited to a Screening Exercise.
NOTE: Candidates who chose Medicine as their programme of study are hereby informed that they could be admitted into Biochemistry, Microbiology or Animal & Environmental Biology subject to acceptable performance. Alternatively, they should contact other universities for admission into Medicine and contact Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Also Note that the department of Geography & Environmental Management will NOT be admitting this year.

OTHER IMPORTANT DATES
Registration will Begin on 1st June and Close on 13th June, 2012.

Registration Procedure:
1. Visit http://putme.uniport.edu.ng  and Input UTME Registration Number.
2. Login with your UTME Registration Number and password that will be displayed on the screen after registration to make payment via Interswitch or eTranzact - A copy of your login detail will also be sent to your email.
NOTE: You can pay online via Interswitch using your ATM Card OR printout payment slip and take to the Bank to pay via eTranzact. Proceed to any of the Bank Branches listed on the Registration Procedure or the payment slip and make payment of N1,000.00 (excluding bank and access charges).
 3. Login with your UTME Registration Number and password, click on payment and select eTranzact to verify the Access Code on the payment slip and upload your recent (not more than six months) full-faced passport photograph- Preferably the same passport used in your UTME registration.
4. Click on submit button and print Photo-card
5. If you are a first choice candidate, to register for second choice you can use the button on the top-right-corner after login, you will only need to enter your faculty and department since every other details remain the same including passport
6. No candidate should travel because of payment, all listed Banks will collect and process payment Nationwide. There are few Banks on the University Campus so we encourage students to pay anywhere they are for convenience or use their ATM Cards and pay online via interswitch.
7. If you have any issues please use the online ticket, it will be displayed at the top-right-corner after login – No student will be attended to at the ICT Center. Your ticket will be resolve within 60 minutes (One Hour) if sent between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. Any ticket raised after this time will be treated same day or next day.

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE
Candidates are required to come with the following:
·         A clear copy of Photo-card printed online.
·         Writing materials and non-programmable calculator.

NOTE:
·         Candidates’ names on their O’Level certificates and JAMB results must be same with what is filled on the Post-UTME form.
·         Mobile phones, walkman, ipod, ipad and similar gadgets are not allowed into the screening venue.
·         Candidates must apply within the registration period as the link for the Application Forms will be disabled at mid-night; 15th June
·         Candidates must report to Screening Venues by 7.00am each day.
·         Parents and guardians, as well as uninvited security agents, will not be allowed into the Campus on the days of the Screening Exercise.
