It's said in Pidgin English that "Free thing dey purge oh" but these weekend Promos from MTN Nigeria and Etisalat 9ja is one that should be encouraged because... Because Nigerians like Free things!!!

Etisalat Nigeria Recently launched a New Weekend Promo titled "Double Your recharge, Double your talk" for its subscribers and the name speaks for itself.

Here's what you need to know about the Etisalat Nigeria Double your recharge, double your talk - Weekend Promo:
1. The Promo is open to Easy Starter and Easy Cliq subscribers Only.
2. Recharge N200 & above from Friday 6pm to Sunday 11:59pm will give YOU double value the same weekend.(e.g Recharge N200 and you GET N400 instantly!!)
3. Dial *356*1# to get double of all your recharges of N200 & above from 6pm on Friday up till 11:59pm on Sunday!!!

Every promo has a catch! - The downside of this Etisalat weekend Promo is:
1. On the promo, YOU cannot opt into Blackberry services or purchase Bundle data with the promo recharge value bonus airtime
- The Double Bonus can only be used for Calling, and Prepaid Data browsing.
2. The double value (which is inclusive of recharged value) will be valid till 11:59pm on Sunday (the same weekend) after which it will be wiped off. <<< This is WICKED lol..

I think what Etisalat is saying is "Free thing no dey purge but it wont last long"

I'm not sure what to call this - I'm yet to see any official advert from Etisalat talking about it - But the most important thing is >> IT WORKS!!!

press *229*5*2# on Your Etisalat SIM and wait for SMS confirmation.. Enjoy (Check and confirm it this works on BB please)
