Any search term you type into Google brings up a result from Zimbio.com these days because a User has added that article or content to zimbio.

Simply put: Zimbio is a Website shows articles written by other websites.
These articles are added via RSS Feeds supplied by authors who are trying to get BackLinks from Zimbio because of its PR6 ranking.

Getting a Backlinked from such reputable website is good, but last week when i searched for the article i wrote about "Top 3 reasons why i use Microsoft Essentials" Zimbio popped up at the Number ONE search result - For an Article i have spent time to write???

Clicking the Zimbio result revealed that they DO NOT post an excerpt of the article and Link back to the original article Like, stumble, Technorati, Sturvs.com and others do - Rather, Zimbio crawls and paste your exact CONTENT, WORD FOR WORD, From the RSS FEED You Submitted.

You know how Google feels about Duplicate content, You know competing for search ranking with a PR6 website is a Lost battle.

I Immediately Deleted my website feeds from Zimbio, and whithin 3 days i was ranking number one again on that search term.

Moral or the Story: Do not sacrifice your search ranking for Easy backlink.

Zimbio mentions the author and website, but Pastes the Full Content.

Advice: Zimbio should consider posting Only One paragraph of the article and linking to the Original where the full article can be read, But i doubt they'll do this.

Article submitting or Guest Blogging is good - But when all the article on your website are also on Zimbio? mehn You're a Gonner!!
If you still insist on using Zimbio, Post self written articles that will not appear on your website. Do NOT use the RSS Feed function which will automatically add all your Posts to zimbio.
