Happy Palm Sunday
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:14 PM »
Today, Christians celebrate Palm Sunday to mark the Triumphant entry to Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem.
It's the beginning of the Holy week which concludes on Easter Sunday.

According to The Bible in Luke 19:31 Jesus Christ Rode into Jerusalem on a Donkey fully aware of the fact that he would pay the sacrificial price by dying for the sins of man. He instructed two of his disciples to get the Donkey from the owner saying "The Lord has Need for it".

People laid their cloaks and palm branches on the road as He slowly passed. They waved palm branches in the air shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" (Matthew 21:9)

Following this celebration, Jesus begins His journey to the Cross.

It's Palm Sunday - Not Palm-wine Sunday depicted by some twitter users who find humor in everything
