Since March 8th 1911, International Women's day (IWD) has been marked by Corporations, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, Government and the media.
The 2015 IWD Themed "Make it Happen" is calling for effective actions to backup all the talk and promises about rights of women, equality and recognition of their contribution to society.

Organizations such as the UN, Oxfam, Women for Women, Care International, Plan, World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and many others have adopted the theme and organizing events/campaigns around the globe in-line with it.

How you can participate?
Whether you're online of offline, talk about International Women's Day, policies, your favourite Charity organisations doing good for women or make donations to them.
Being a Sunday not much will be noticed but Organizations and individuals can still carry on with activities well into the week.

Use these hashtags to tweet / post about your support for women so it echos around the world.

The Color purple symbolises justice and dignity - these are two values strongly associated with women's equality, so wear purple colored cloths.
