The early morning rush to beat traffic and make it to the office in time is also characterised by parents dropping kids at school or kids in uniform making their way to school but not today.

Instead of the usual school uniform, kids were seen this morning dressed in full traditional and formal wears on their way to various organised activities to mark childrens day.

The 27th Day of May in Nigeria is set aside as a public holiday for primary and secondary school kids to celebrate children's day.

As always, it's expected that the day will be characterised by parades, match-past and competitions organized by state / local governments and private organisation.

May 27th, Childrens day 2015

Parents, we know it's a work day for you but do make necessary arraignments to ensure your kids have fun today. An outing in the evening, gifts is not out of place today.
The media is also encouraged to take a break from all the political reporting and shine their spotlight on the plight of "Our leaders of tomorrow".

Do not forget about the less-privelaged in our society today, do reach out and show them love especially today.

We wish our awesome kids a day full of smiles and laughter!
