INEC Website Hacked by Nigerian Hackers #NigeriaDecides

The Official INEC Website went was taken over by a group on unknown hackers who claim to be Nigerians with no harmful intention than to monitor what's going on.
The group also claims to have access to other government websites in Nigeria.

This brings about major concern because the INEC website is one of the ways Nigerians are supposed to get information about the election and results immediately they are announced.

INEC officials have since acknowledged the intrusion detected and have taken the website offline to allow them revert changes made by the hackers. This allowed the website to get back online and operate as usual.
They also assured Nigerians that the hack does not affect the data bank which is where all voters information is stored.

Here's the message from the hackers

Good to see the site is back online now.
More updates coming soon.
