Airtime credit purchase directly from your bank account has become the new service different banks in Nigeria are launching in collaboration with mobile service providers for easy top-up of airtime 24/7 from any bank account.
Gtbank, Firstbank, UBA and others already have this service up and running.

We're delighted to inform you that Access Bank has also launched a similar service called ‘Easy-top-up’ for customers to buy airtime credit directly from his/her bank account.

Buying airtime from street corners and stores is getting phased out gradually. You don't always get the denominations you want, change issues with the sellers who sometimes are not within reach and the inconvenience of dialing those codes especially if you're recharging a high amount.

The introduction of Airtime recharge that does not require the use of any internet banking platform just to buy purchase airtime has made virtual top-up accessible to everyone on any type of mobile device.

How to Buy Airtime From Your Access Bank Account
According to access bank, a customers can recharge airtime from any mobile network by dialing a USSD code *901*Amount# for airtime credit, E.g *901*5000# within some seconds your mobile is credited with #5,000 airtime.

The phone number used must already be registered with your access bank account (example, the number you receive bank SMS alerts on.)

Previously, Access Bank airtime purchase code only allowed you to send airtime to the number you have registered with the bank.  No third-party purchase was allowed.

To buy  airtime for others dail *901# and seclect 4, select 2 for 3rd party.
Enter the amount and enter 3rd party mobile number.
Enter your last four digit of your BVN to complete transaction.

If you use the same network as the third-party, You can recharge your line and transfer credit to the person.

The bank service is limited to those who  has account with access bank Plc, daily transaction restriction of #5,000. Despite the time and location, customers can purchase airtime at their suitable time as long as the customer has a mobile phone and Account with Access Bank. The airtime recharge is automatically deducted from the customer’s access bank account. The service is always available 24/7 and instant, suited with all mobile networks in Nigeria.
