Yesterday was one of the most entertaining moments of the  African cup of nations with a surprising Cape Verde quarter final qualification and the host nation South Africa being on Hot seat with a hard fought draw with Morocco.
Before the last group A matches yesterday, South Africa was topping the group with four points, morocco second with the same point as cape Verde on third position with two points each and Angola last with one point.

South Africa needed a point against Morocco to qualify as group leader while Morocco needed a win over South Africa or a high score draw (hoping Cape Verde loose or have low score draw) to qualify as group leaders or second place respectively.
Cape Verde needed a win over Angola or a high score draw (hoping Morocco loose or have a low score draw) to qualify to the quarter final.

The host nation had to come from a goal down twice to draw level and qualify for the next level as group leaders with 5 points topping the tournament new comers with goal difference.
Cape Verde, a nation of about 500 thousand people surprise every one after they came from a goal down to win the match against Angola to book there place in the quarter final for their first ever participation in the tournament with 5 points as the group leaders South Africa.
