It is obvious if not anywhere else in the world, Nigeria precisely that when power change hands only a few survive the position not to talk of being promoted. Some reason could be because the new administration doesn’t think people in-charge are doing the job right so they odd to switch positions to new people by either choosing to retire or get kicked out.

The best way to go on in situations like that is through hard work. Good number of positions being held by generals has be replace with new generals. Although some were giving other position in the country to handle.

In celebration of Maj, Gen Rogers I. Nicholas recent achievement in the Army, indigenes of Imo State, especially those residing in Abuja under the Ogwa Federated Union came together to celebrate their own born general who got promoted to Major General in President Buhari administration as Chief of Civil Military Affairs of Nigerian Army.

Governor Owelle Rochas and his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere were both represented by Ugwumba Uche Nwoso and Hon. Nnataronye, while other indigenes from far and wide were not left as they honour the event.

At the event the Chief of Staff, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu congratulated him for attaining such height. He said, “Gen Nicholas being the first son of the state to reach the height of Major General under civilian regime is commendable and worth celebrating” .
