How To Deactivate Pay As You Go Browsing Rate (PAYU) For All Networks

Have you ever noticed your airtime reduce once your data connection is turned on? If you have, the next question you would then ask is, how am I going to stop the pay as you go rate? The pay as you go rate was designed for users to be able to be able to surf the net without data, which can be useful in most cases but your airtime will easily be wiped out which many people won’t like. This post will help you deactivate the (PAYU) for all networks across the country.

HOW TO DEACTIVATE (PAYU) FOR ALL NETWORKS

Airtel: There are two ways of deactivating (PAYU) on airtel network,
First is to type the USSD code *400*1# after which you’ll see a response which reads ”You have successfully unsubscribed from airtel free surf”
Also, when subscribing to a data plan on the network, you’ll be asked what to do when your bundle gets exhausted, select the first option which states ”Stop my data”

MTN: For this network, there are also two ways to get it done
First, you dial *131*201# to opt out of the PAYU package
Also, you can send SUSPEND TO 131 to opt out also

GLO: For the GLOBACOM network, GLO users should simply send the word CANCEL to 127 to opt out of the (PAYU)

9MOBILE: For 9mobile users, just dial *229*0# to unsubscribe

As earlier stated, (PAYU) is more convenient for people who do not need confines of monthly plans to go around, as far as they are not connected, it doesn’t count, hence the data might end up lasting for more than a month without expiring whereas normal data plans might expire.
