It’s quite painful when you need access to your Gmail account then you realize you’ve forgetting your password, and you probably want to address the situation as quickly as possible. Luckily, resetting your Gmail password is not as hard as it seem it quite easy; you just need to follow all the steps provided for you bellow.


Here’s how to reset your Gmail password, from your smartphone or computer devices

1. Head to the Gmail login page on your device and type in the name of the account you need to recover.

2. When asked to enter your password, instead hit the phrase “Forgot password?” beneath your screen.

3. If you can, enter the last password you remember using your Gmail account.

If you don’t remember any click try a “different question”, but if the password you enter is actually your current password, you’ll be redirected to Gmail, if not Gmail will automatically take you to the next step.

4. If you’ve set up a recovery phone number with this account, or a secondary email address to your account,you will have to confirm it first.

The Gmail will send a code to your recovery phone number to confirm your identity, you will have a choice to choose if you want the code as a call or a text.
But if you don’t have the recovery phone number with you, or you want it to be sent to your recovery email click “I don’t have a phone” at the end of the page. Google will give you the option to have a recovery code sent to that recovery email. If you agree to the method confirm the email and then click “Send,” the code will be sent to your recovery email.
If you don’t have access to the account that you originally designated as a backup either–click “try another way”. Now you need to go through protecting methods of account protection, like security questions such as “best friend at 10” etc.

6. Enter the 6-digit code that will been sent to your phone number or email address.

7. Gmail will now ask you to select a new password and confirm it.

As simple as that you now have access to your Gmail account but notice when creating your new password try to pick something you won’t easily forget, or else write it down somewhere safe so you can look at it next time and avoid this worry.
