What To Do If Your iPhone/ iPad Was Stolen Or Lost.

If your iPhone or iPad was stolen or lost, there’s no need to panic cos I have a solution for you. I know how you can get the location of your phone, or what you need to do if it was permanently lost. So just stick with me and read to the end.

iPhone and iPad are products of an American technology company, Apply, with its headquarter in California, United States. Apple also produces other things like, AirPods, Watch, etc. Apple products are durable and easy to use devices with innovative features.

So in this article, I will tell you how to find your stolen/lost iPhone and what to do if it is permanently lost. So keep reading on.

How To Setup Find My On iPhone.

  • Go to settings on your iPhone, your name, then find my.
    • If you’re asked to sign, then do so.
  • Then tap find my iPhone, then turn on find my iPhone.

What To Do If Your iPhone/iPad Is Permanently Stolen Or Lost.

  • Change your Apple ID password:
    • Sign in to Apple ID,
    • Then choose sign in and security from the sidebar.
    • Then select password and follow the instructions.
  • Remotely erase your iPhone/ iPad: If you have access to a trusted device or a family member’s device, erase your device with Find My. Otherwise, erase your device from iCloud Find.
  • Remove your iPhone/iPad from your trusted devices:
    • Sign in to Apple Id then choose devices from the sidebar.
    • Then select your device, scroll down and select remove from account.

How To Find Your Stolen/ Lost iPhone/ iPad.

The following are the ways you can find your stolen/ lost iPhone or iPad.

  • Your Apple Watch: If you think your iPhone/ iPad is nearby, just open control center on your Apple watch and tap ping your iPhone. With Apple watch series 9 or Ultra 2, you cn get directions to your phone’s location.
  • Use iCloud On A Web Browser: When you sign in to iCloud on a web browser, you might be asked to enter a code sent to a trusted device. If you lost your trusted device, or otherwise can’t get the code, select find device.
  • Use A Family Member’s Device: If you’re part of a family sharing group, your device can appear in “find my” on your family members’ devices.
  • Use Find My App On Another Device: If you have another Apple device that is signed in with your Apple ID, use Find My on that device to find your iPhone or iPad.
